EY is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate specialized in providing comprehensive indirect tax services to clients. This role involves delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services while managing client relationships.
What you need
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum second-class upper division or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
- Professional certifications: Membership in ICAN, ACCA or CITN is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in indirect tax, preferably in a Big 4 firm or professional services firm.
- Strong understanding of indirect tax principles, local and international VAT regulations, and Customs & Excise Duty laws.
- Proven ability to manage complex indirect tax projects, including compliance, advisory, controversy resolution, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex tax regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across all levels.
- Leadership capabilities, including the ability to manage teams and drive change in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in indirect tax compliance tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high professional standards.
